Social Media Platform for Working Professionals

Why do some people think it’s OK to do personal things around me and I should be cool with it? As a female, I sometimes wonder if I’m overreacting to some things that my co-workers do. It’s easy to socialize here because we have to talk to each other about work and sometimes we tend to get a little silly and laid back in each other’s office. My main issue is one of the guys always seems to have to adjust himself when we have to meet, sometimes 2 or 3 times in ten minutes. I try not to notice and look away or pretend like I have to get something out of my desk. It’s not just around me, but everyone, male and female. Another co-worker uses my doorway to scratch her back. It creeps me out because with her clothes rubbing against the door corner and her back it makes this crunchy noise. The worst had to be when one of them came into my office, took off her sandal, and picked her toes. Can we agree that this is inappropriate at work? I’m so glad I found this group because I want to say something, but just don’t know how to without hurting feelings. Thanks yall!
What We Do
The purpose of the Awwefice team is to communicate to our co-workers and friends wherever they are to lighten the load of the workday stress.
What We Do
About Us
Your Awwefice can be anywhere you work or do your thing! Almost everyone has an Awwefice, and the stuff you do there can be overwhelming, or you could be having a great time. Sometimes you just gotta get that extra stuff out of your system.
About Us
Mission
Our Mission
We want to offer help, conversation, a laugh, and enjoy sharing experiences that sometimes make people feel alone or share good news related to their job.
The Awwefice is a safe-free zone to vent about work-related issues.
Your Awwefice may not be found in a cubicle decorated with nick-nacks and family photos or drawings from your children. It may not be in a large multistory building with a view overlooking the city. It could be anywhere you work or do your thing! No matter where it’s located, the stuff you do there can become overwhelming. It’s a place where many emotions grow and cling to you like a virus or the flu.
Your situation may be like this:
“Awwe, I love it here!”
“This is a great job, and I just enjoy showing up every day!”
….then this site is not for you, but then again, there may be some of us who need your advice. So, pleeeease stick around.
Or, your situation may be like this:
“Awwe! If this phone rings one more time, I’m going to throw it out of the window!”
Or, “One more word, and I’m gonna choke that B%*$#!”
If your situation is the latter, for the sake of sanity, this is the site for you to release that stuff so your mind, soul, and body can heal: release and let go.

Our Founder
The Awwefice was founded by Gwendolyn Smiley. With all the work experiences that she has been through, she realized that while working on each of those jobs, people would make comments about the things that stressed them out about the job, why they hated the job, why they liked the job and their main purpose of doing the job.
